Estate Planner

Michael Magliari has been practicing law since 1983 with an emphasis in estate planning, probate, trust, and tax law. He is the managing member of Michael E. Magliari, P.C., which was founded in 1999, and is located in Chesterfield, Missouri. The law firm focuses its practice on estate planning, business planning, and trust and probate administration. 

Michael is the founding chairmen of the Missouri Bar Association Estate Planning Division  (2015-2018) and former chairmen of the Trust and Probate Committee (2014-2016). He is the current chairmen of the Trust Revision Subcommittee (2008-2020).

Michael has been a member of the Missouri Bar since September 17, 1983. In addition,  he is a former member of the Ethics Committee of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (1985-1988). He also served on the Missouri Director of Revenue's Estate Tax Advisory Council under Director Quinton Wilson (1998-2002).

Michael has authored and coauthored numerous books and other publication concerning the estate planning process. Some of those include the Missouri Bar Association's Probate Law Resource Guide in 2015. "The Trust Administrating Chapter" in the Missouri Bar Association's Desk Book Series in 2006, including the supplement in 2010 and 2013 title "Estate Planning": The Fundamental Concepts Under Missouri Law" in 2011. Michael supervised comments to the Missouri Uniform Trust Code for the Missouri Bar Association covering the period from 2005-2015 including comments to each new or amended statue (regarding the Qualified Spousal Trust, Trust Protector, Trust Decanting, Income & Principal Act, Irrevocable Trust Amendment, Judicial Trust Amendments, Virtual Representation, and other related statutes).
